Natural Fall Look with ELF

Creating a natural look in the fall is one of my favorite things, any bold lipstick is wearable in the daytime if you go lightly with the rest of your complexion. Today I'm sharing with you some ELF Cosmetics products to achieve a natural fall look step by step. 

Crear un look natural en otoño es una de mis cosas favoritas, cualquier labial intenso es adecuado para usarse de día si te vas más ligera con tu complexión. Hoy les comparto algunos productos de ELF Cosmetics con los que pueden obtener un look natural de otoño paso a paso. 

This month I received these new ELF products to try them out. What immediately caught my eye was the Foundation Palette in Fair/Light, simply because it is always a hassle to find a right shade and this way you can mix and match between similar undertones. The Matte Lip Color in Cranberry is the perfect fall lip color, the pigmentation is not very strong so you can apply a light layer and go about your day. The formula is not drying at all for being matte and it wears off nicely. Last but not least, the Eyebrow Duo Brush is something that we all need, one side has an angled brush to fill in the gaps and the other end has a spoolie to comb the brows in place. 

Este mes recibí estos productos nuevos de ELF para probarlos. Lo que inmediatamente llamó mi atención fue la Paleta de Bases en Fair/Light, simplemente porque siempre es un problema encontrar el tono perfecto y de esta forma puedes mezclarlos todos. El Labial Matte en Cranberry es el color de labios ideal para otoño, la pigmentación no es muy fuerte por que puedes aplicar una capa ligera y seguir con tu día. La fórmula no reseca a pesar de ser matte y se va difuminando de forma igual. Por último, la Brocha Para Cejas Dúo es algo que todos necesitamos, un lado tiene una brocha angular para rellenar los espacios vacíos y el otro un peine para acomodar tus cejas.

The formula in the foundation palette is very creamy so you need to set it. The good thing is that the colors will merge nicely due to the creaminess. For my skin tone it works best to use the first two shades mostly in the center parts of my face and a bit of the third shade on the outer perimeters. I've used them as concealers under my eyes too and they worked well, you can layer it to get a better coverage. 

La fórmula de la paleta de bases es muy cremosa, así que debes sellarla con polvo. Lo bueno es que los tonos se mezclan con mucha facilidad por lo cremosos que son. Para mi tono de piel funciona mejor usar los dos primeros tonos en el área central de mi rostro y el tercer tono en el perímetro exterior. He usado la paleta como corrector bajo mis ojos también y funcionaron bien, puedes aplicar varias capas para obtener mejor cobertura.

For this look, I went lightly with the base and just applied a few strokes on the areas where I need the most coverage. As you can see, I use a flat brush to paint them on my face and then blend it all out with a sponge to keep the tones in the right places and not mix them all up. 

Para este look me fui muy ligera con la base y sólo apliqué un poco de rayas en las partes donde más necesito cobertura. Como pueden ver, uso una brocha plana para pintarlo en mi rostro y luego difumino todo con una esponja para mantener los tonos en el lugar correcto en vez de mezclarlos.

After setting my face, I applied a lot of bronzer to my cheeks to work as contour too. I used the Santa Monica Duo to bronze my cheeks, forehead, and every other area to give my face dimension. I also popped just a small amount of the blush that comes in the duo to my cheeks for a bit of color. 

Después de sellar mi cara, me apliqué mucho bronceador en las mejillas para que esculpiera mi rostro también. Usé el Duo Santa Monica para broncear mis mejillas, frente y otras áreas que le dan dimensión al rostro. También me puse un poco del rubor que viene en el dúo para darme color.

To fill in my brows I used the Eyebrow Duo Brush. I normally use a dark brown for the tails and then work my way in with a lighter brown. This helps to make them more natural and less drawn-on. The spoolie on the other end helps a lot with this to merge the product that you're applying with your brow hairs. 

Para rellenar mis cejas usé la Brocha de Cejas Dúo. Normalmente uso un tono café obscuro en las orillas exteriores y luego voy cambiando por un tono más claro en la orilla interior. Esto ayuda a que las cejas luzcan más naturales y no muy dibujadas. El peine que tiene al otro lado la brocha ayuda mucho en esto, ya que junta el producto que aplicas con tus cejas.

For me, it's crucial to go light-handed with my eye makeup if I want to wear a bold lip in the daytime. I applied a gold cream eyeshadow all over my lids to bring some light to the eyes. For dimension, I swiped a bit of of the Santa Monica Bronzer on the crease and lower lash line. To finish the look, I applied two coats of the Volumizing and Defining Mascara, really separating the lashes and to let the gold underneath shine through. 

Para mí, es crucial irse suave con los ojos si quiero usar labios intensos de día. Me aplique una sombra en crema dorada en los párpados para atraer luz a los ojos. Para más dimensión, pasé un poco del bronceador Santa Monica en la cuenca de los ojos y el área de abajo. Para terminar el look, apliqué dos capas de la máscara Volumizing and Defining, separando muy bien las pestañas para que el dorado de abajo brille entre ellas.

To complete my makeup, I applied two layers of the Matte Lip Color in Cranberry. The shape of this product allows you to use it as a pencil to map out the edges and then fill them all in. The color is a bit brighter than I expected so I though this would be better for a daytime look. 

Para completar mi maquillaje, apliqué dos capas del Labial Matte en Cranberry. La forma de este producto te deja usarlo primero como lápiz para definir las orillas de tus labios y después rellenarlos. El color es un poco más brillante de lo que pensaba, por eso lo vi más adecuado para un look de día.
