The Weekly Diary #3

A rather late one but still willing to share some things of the past two weeks of my life. Incorporating a bit of personal style, life snaps, and, of course, beauty stuff. 

Uno medio tarde pero aún queriendo compartir algunas cosas de las últimas dos semanas de mi vida. Incorporando un poco de estilo personal, fotos rutinarias y, por supuesto, lo de belleza.

I've been a little "lazy" when it comes to doing my makeup for a night out after work. Like I mentioned in my Day-To-Night Makeup Goodies post, I play it safe and go for a simple eye look with bold lips. This weekend I chose MAC Rebel and Caviar Couture from Maybelline, pairing it with glowy cheeks with my trusty Filmstar Bronze & Glow. 

He andado un poco "floja" en respecto a mi maquillaje si salgo después del trabajo. Como lo mencioné en mi post de Day-To-Night Makeup Goodies, me voy a lo seguro con un look de ojos simple y labios intensos. Esta semana usé Rebel de MAC y Caviar Couture de Maybelline, acompañándolo de mejillas brillantes con mi amado Filmstar Bronze & Glow.

It's always exciting when two people like the same things, specially if they're close to you. I mentioned before how I've been loving my Black And Maple Sully JORD Watch, pictured above with a man's watch, the Chocolate A94. My friend and I thought it was a nice idea to photograph our matching wood watches the day we wore them together. 

Siempre es emocionante cuando dos personas gustan de las mismas cosas, en especial si son cercanas a ti. Anteriormente mencioné que he estado usando mucho mi Black And Maple Sully JORD Watch, fotografiado arriba junto con uno de hombre, el Chocolate A94. Mi amigo pensó que era una buena idea tomar esa foto con nuestros relojes de madera juntos.

If you're following me on Instagram you may have noticed that I've been posting a lot of capital letters lately. I joined a little thing called #handletteredABC's where you show one letter of the alphabet per day. It can be calligraphy or any sort of design but I decided to go a little more into detail and design a different monogram for each letter. You can search the hashtag and find other people's amazing work. 

Si me siguen en Instagram se han de haber dado cuenta he estoy subiendo muchas fotos de letras últimamente. Me uní a una cosita llamada #handletteredABCs (ABC's hechos a mano) en donde muestras una letra del alfabeto por día. Puede ser caligrafía o cualquier tipo de diseño pero yo decidí irme por algo más detallado y diseñar un monograma por letra. Pueden buscar el hashtag y encontrar el excelente trabajo de otras personas.

Speaking of design, my friend Polo (@pologaucin) made these two simple yet amazing illustrations of two of my pictures. I've never had someone who drew me so I was really surprised how much they look like me, even a friend pointed out: "he even captured the way you stand" (I'll pretend that was a compliment, ha!). 

Hablando de diseño, mi amigo Polo (@pologaucin) hizo estas simples y padrísimas ilustraciones de dos fotos mías. Nunca había tenido a alguien que me dibujara, por lo que me sorprendió mucho cuánto me parezco, incluso una amiga dijo que capturó mis parados (pretenderé que eso fue un cumplido, ja!).

Lately I've been enjoying being a complete loner having some me-time after work and just chill in the car with the air conditioner and music on. Although I've always been a Chai Frappuccino kind of gal, I changed things up a bit and now I opt for the ice cubes version of a soy milk Chai or a Shaken Lemon Tea. 

Últimamente he estando disfrutando de ser un ermitaño tener tiempo para mí después del trabajo y estar a gusto un rato en el carro con el aire acondicionado y la música prendidos. A pesar de que siempre he sido una niña de Chai Frappuccino, he cambiado las cosas un poquito ahora y opto por la versión con cubos de hielo de un Chai con leche de soya o un Shaken Lemon Tea.

And since we're already on the food department, I have to share this delicious and massive burger from a local place called 13quillo (pronounced: trece-quillo in spanish). The place has existed for quite a while but I re-visited recently to find out that tuesdays are for 2x1 on burgers, and let me tell you: they are BIG. Naturally, I went for the vegetarian option and ordered a Portobello Burger. Besides being delicious, the way they serve your food seems really cute to me- You get your personal mini sized bottles for ketchup, mayo, and mustard, a tiny pot with chunky potatoes, and a 13 stamped on top of your burger. Yes, please. 

Y ya que estamos en el departamento de comida, tengo que compartir esta deliciosa y masiva hamburguesa de un lugar local llamado 13quillo (se pronuncia trece-quillo). El lugar ya tiene tiempo que existe pero lo volví a visitar recientemente sólo para enterarme de que los martes son 2x1 en hamburguesas, y déjenme decirles: están ENORMES. Naturalmente, me fui por la opción vegetariana y pedí una Hamburguesa Portobello. Además de estar deliciosas, la manera en que son servidas me parece de lo más linda. Recibes tus botellitas miniatura personales de catsup, mayonesa y mostaza, una cazuelita con patatas gruesas y un 13 estapmtado encima de tu hamburguesa. Sí, por favor.
