I've always thought of red as the classiest color for a woman, it suits every occasion, outfit, and skin tone. Another great thing about it is that red lips can dress you up in a matter of seconds, that made me come up with three super easy looks to pair up with your favorite lipstick for times when we have 5 minutes to slap on makeup.
Siempre he pensado que el rojo es el color más clásico para una mujer, queda con toda ocasión, atuendo, y tono de piel. Otra cosa muy buena es que los labios rojos te hacen relucir más en cuestión de segundos, eso me inspiró a crear tres looks muy sencillos que puedes combinar con tu labial favorito para esas veces que tenemos 5 minutos para maquillarnos.
1. The Almost Nude
All That Glitters is one my favorite eyeshadows for this, as well as Marzipan from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar. The peachy/bronzy tones bring a lot of light to my eyes and make them stand out without having to add drama. Here I used Honey Lust and applied two coats of black mascara. It's not necessary but I added a tiny bit of Omega to the bottom part of my eyes too.
All That Glitters es una de mis sombras favoritas para esto, así como Marzipan de la Too Faced Chocolate Bar. Los tonos bronceados/durazno atraen mucha luz a mis ojos los hacen resaltar sin tener que agregar drama. Aquí usé Honey Lust y apliqué dos capas de mascara negra. No es necesario pero agregué un poco de Omega a la parte inferior de mis ojos también.
2. The Deepened Crease
Adding dimension to the eyes is very easy with only two eyeshadows. I used Cream from the Lorac Pro Palette all over my lids to make them stand out, then I added Sable from the same palette and applied it to the outer edges to blend the color into the crease and lower lash line for more definition and subtle smokiness. I had a little fall out on the lid from the highlighter but I actually thing it looks good.
Agregar dimensión a los ojos es muy fácil con sólo dos sombras. Usé Cream de la Lorac Pro Palette en todo el párpado para hacerlo resaltar, después añadí Sable de la misma paleta y la apliqué en las orillas externas para difuminar el color hacia las cuencas y la parte inferior para que luzca más definido y un poco ahumado. Cayó un poco de mi polvo iluminador en el párpado pero de hecho creo que se ve bien.
3. The Smokey Liner
But if we're in the mood for something a little more edgy, a smokey eye is always the answer. The quickest way for me to achieve this with one brush and one eyeshadow is by simply lining my eyes as closest to the lashes as I can, also the water line. Then I go over it with a dark brown eyeshadow like Mystery by MAC, lightly smudging the edges and reapplying a bit of the same black liner after that. For a little extra something, I topped the liner with Retrospeck for a sparkly look.
Pero si estamos en ganas de hacer algo más inquieto, un ojo ahumado siempre es la respuesta. Para mí, la manera más fácil de lograr esto con sólo una brocha y una sombra es simplemente delinear mis ojos lo más cerca posible de las pestañas, también la parte de adentro. Después lo paso por encima con una sombra café obscuro como Mystery, suavemente difuminando las orillas y volviendo a aplicar un poco del mismo delineador negro después. Para un algo extra, apliqué Retrospeck por encima para que luciera más brillante.
Of course there are a ton of ways to combine red lips with easy eye makeup, let's not forget the iconic cat eye. What I like about these three is that they can all be done with the same products, letting you transform your look throughout the day by just adding intensity.
Claro que hay muchas maneras de combinar labios rojos con maquillaje sencillo, no olvidemos el icónico cat eye. Lo que me gusta de estos tres es que pueden hacerse con los mismos productos, permitiéndote transformar tu look durante el día con sólo agregar intensidad.
