Wearable highlighters that look good on daylight

Highlighter can really change a look, it either makes it more glam or gives your skin a glass finish for a more exotic look to it. Whichever is the case, I put together for this post my three favorite highlighters to wear in the day time and that don't look too glittery or intense (unless you want them to). 

El iluminador realmente puede cambiar un look, ya sea que lo haga más glam o que le dé a tu piel un acabado húmedo para un look más exótico. Cualquiera que sea el caso, puse estos tres iluminadores que son mis favoritos para usar en el día y que no se ven muy intensos (al menos de que tú quieras). 

Let's start with some basic rules for a highlighter to be daytime appropriate—at least for my personal taste. I like my daytime highlighter to be more of a satin finish and in a nude shade, this allows me to blend in easily onto the skin for a seamless cheek glow. Another important thing to me is that the formula can de build up, or not too intense if I just want something casual. Powders are usually my favorite but I know that cream formulas will do better with natural finishes because they merge with the skin easily.

Comencemos con unas reglas básicas para que un iluminador sea apropiado para el día—por lo menos según mis gustos. Me gusta que mi iluminador de día sea más como un acabado satinado y en un tono nude, esto permite que lo pueda difuminar fácilmente a mi piel para un brillo de pómulo sin rastro. Otro factor importante es que la fórmula debe ser construible, o nada muy intenso por si quiera algo más casual. Los polvos usualmente son mis favoritos pero sé que las fórmulas cremosas hacen un mejor trabajo porque se mezclan sutilmente a la piel.

The best powder highlighter for daytime Benefit Cookie has been my absolute favorite highlighter since I received it a couple of months ago. The formula of this powder highlighter feels very soft to the touch and finish on the skin is almost as if you applied a liquid, it's almost like silk. I use a fluffy brush to apply it on layers, I do only a few swipes for daytime and bathe myself in it if it's a nigh time look. The color is quite light and somewhat white so I think it wouldn't suit darker skin tones unless you use a very light hand, which is a bummer because the finish is amazing. Its sister Twinkle would definitely look better on rich skin tones although the color is more of a rose gold. Cookie de Benefit es mi iluminador favorito sin dudas desde que lo recibí hace un par de meses. La fórmula de este iluminador en polvo se siente súper suave al tacto y el acabado en la piel es casi como si aplicaras un líquido, es casi como seda. Uso una brocha esponjosa para aplicarlo en capas, hago unas pocas para mis looks de día y me voy con más potencia si es un look de noche. El color es muy claro y algo blanco por lo que creo que no quedaría muy bien en pieles obscuras al menos de que uses una mano muy ligera, lo cual es es un agüite porque el acabado es increíble. Su hermana Twinkle definitivamente se vería mucho mejor en pieles profundas aunque el color es más como rosa dorado.

Highlighter that looks like glossy skin

This product, aside from being super versatile and beautiful, has two types of highlighter in one. The Bodyography Inner Glow Stick has one side of creamy champagne highlighter and the other one of an essence (as they call it) which is basically a transparent creamy gloss for a very dewy finish and perfect for that glass skin effect. Of course, you can wear both combined to achieve a different look, either more on the dewy side or more of a natural glow. Super creamy and blendable formula that has got me a ton of compliments, especially when I wear it on daylight. 

Este producto, aparte de ser súper versátil y hermoso, tiene dos tipos de iluminador en uno. El Inner Glow Stick de Bodyography tiene un lado de iluminador cremoso en tono champagne y en el otro una esencia (como le llaman) que es básicamente un gloss cremoso transparente para un acabado muy húmedo y perfecto para ese efecto de glass skin. Obviamente, puedes usar los dos combinados para obtener un look diferente, ya sea uno más del lado húmedo o más como un glow natural. Fórmula súper cremosa que me ha dado muchos cumplidos, en especial cuando lo uso de día. 

The most popular cream highlighter for dry skin

I'm pretty sure this is one of the most popular highlighters, especially for a natural daytime glow. The Glossier Haloscope comes in three shades that suit different skin tones, so I though my best match would be Quartz. It has a balmy texture with a clear center that provides hydration as you apply it. The outer perimeter has the creamy highlighter that can be easily blended into the skin with just a few taps using fingers. It's more subtle than the Bodyography one but it works best if you want a really natural look. However, I find that it doesn't last that much on me but I like that it doesn't seem to pick up dry patches on the skin so I'm fine with both terms. 

Estoy casi segura de que este es uno de los iluminadores más populares, en especial para un brillo natural de día. El Haloscope de Glossier viene en tres tonos que le van a diferentes tipos de piel, por lo que pensé que mi mejor opción sería Quartz. Tiene una textura como de bálsamo y un centro transparente que brinda hidratación mientras lo aplicas. El perímetro externo tiene el iluminador cremoso que puede ser fácilmente difuminado ante la piel con solo un par de toques con los dedos. Es más sutil que el de Bodyography pero funciona mejor si lo quieres para un look realmente natural. Aunque me he dado cuenta que en mí no dura mucho tiempo pero tampoco parece resaltar las partes secas del rostro, entonces estoy bien con ambas cosas.
