En mi familia siempre me han hecho burla por ser “la vanidosa”, pero de verdad no recuerdo un momento en el que no me haya apasionado el maquillaje. Desde que tuve mi primer juego de maquillaje de fantasía o cuando le rogaba a mi mamá que me comprara un gloss transparente de fruta (sí, el que todas tuvimos), creo que fui beauty junkie de nacimiento.
In my family I've always been teased for being "the vain one", but I actually don't remember a moment when I was not so passionate about makeup. Since I had my first kid's makeup set or when I begged my mom to get me one of those fruity transparent glosses (yes, the one all of us had), I think I was a beauty junkie since birth.
Adelanten ahora unos 15 años, después de tanto tiempo viendo tutoriales y videos de favoritos en YouTube todo el día, me animé a abrir mi canal en 2014 y es algo que he disfrutado plenamente. Amo probar nuevos productos, recomendarlos como si estuviera platicando en un café con mis amigas y recibir sugerencias de las personas que me ven cada semana.
También, soy algo nueva a este mundo de los blogs, porque aunque leía los posts de mis bloggers favoritas, apenas este año comencé con mi propio blog y se ha vuelto una nueva pasión; de ahí que me sentí tan emocionada por compartir con ustedes los básicos de maquillaje que uso más seguido. (Disclaimer: No digo “diario” porque eso sería mi look para la escuela, alias, dos gotas de maquillaje y este no sería el post más interesante jaja).
Fast forward 15 years, after so much time watching tutorials and favorites videos on YouTube all day, I decided I wanted to create my own channel in 2014 and it's something I've enjoyed a lot. I love trying new products, recommend them as if I was chatting at a café with my friends, and get requests from the people who watch my videos every week.
Also, I'm kind of new in this blogging world, because although I read the posts from my favorite bloggers it was until this year that I finally came up with mine and it has become one of my new passions; it was then when I felt the most excited to share with you basic makeup looks that I wear more often. (Disclaimer: I don't say "daily" because that would be my school look, aka, two drops of makeup and that would not be the most interesting post haha).

Maybelline Better Skin Concealer
No sé si este es el 6to bote que he usado pero, definitivamente, este corrector es un básico en mi vida. Se funde con la piel y cubre perfectamente ojeras e imperfecciones sin verse pastoso ni cuartearse.
I'm not sure if this is the 6th tube that I've used but, definitely, this concealer is a staple in my life. It merges with the skin and covers perfectly my dark circles and imperfections without looking cakey or creasing.
Revlon Colorstay Powder Aunque es una base en polvo, está tan finamente molido que matifica la piel a la perfección y da un poco de cobertura sin verse como una capa más de maquillaje; incluso siento que tiene un efecto de “blur” sobre los poros que me encanta.
Even though it's a powder foundation, it is so finely milled that it mattifies the skin to perfection and gives a bit of coverage without looking like an extra layer of makeup; I even feel like it has a blurring effect on pores which I love.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
No se dejen engañar por el empaque, que no es mi favorito. Este es el bronzer más fácil de aplicar, ya que su color es la mezcla exacta de tonos terracota y café, que dan el efecto de bronceado super natural sin esfuerzo. Bonus: Huele a piña colada.
Don't be fooled by the packaging, it's not my favorite either. This is the easiest bronzer to apply, because its color is the exact mix of terracota and brown tones, which give you the most natural and effortless bronzed look. Bonus: it smells like piña colada.
Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore
Por más que uso otros rubores, este siempre encuentra su camino de regreso a mi cosmetiquera. Amo la fórmula porque tiene pequeños destellos dorados que hacen que la piel se vea luminosa, saludable y con un poco de color rosado.
No matter how many other blushes I try, this one keeps making its way back to my makeup bag. I love the formula because it has tiny gold specks that make the skin look luminous, healthy, and with a rosy flush.
Sonia Kashuk Highlighter Stick Sparkling Sand
Soy fan del iluminador y, como pueden ver, este ha recibido demasiado amor. Su fórmula en crema y el tono champaña hacen que los destellos se vean como piel real, reflejan la luz de la manera más bonita y, lo mejor, sí se puede aplicar sobre polvos.
I'm the biggest highlighter fan and, as you can tell, this one has received a lot of love. Its creamy formula and the champagne tone make the tiny sparkles look like real skin, they bounce the light in the prettiest way, and the best thing is that you can layer it on top of powders.
Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil
Las cejas son esenciales, cuando quiero que se vean definidas pero naturales al mismo tiempo siempre recurro a este lápiz porque me ayuda a estar lista en minutos. Es el color perfecto y su punta precisa me deja crear pequeños trazos que parecen vellitos.
Brows are an essential, when I want them to look defined but natural at the same time I always go for this pencil because it helps me get ready in minutes. It's the perfect color for me and its tiny precise tip lets you create little strokes that look like hairs.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
No hay duda de que las máscaras económicas son las mejores y ésta lo comprueba. Hace que mis pestañas minúsculas se vean casi postizas (no es exageración). Tanto en longitud como en volumen, con un efecto cat-eye.
There's no doubt that drugstore mascaras are the best and this one proves it. It makes my tiny lashes look almost like fake ones (I'm not exaggerating). With length and volume, as well as a cat-eye effect.
Urban Decay NAKED Heat Palette
Hace mucho no estaba tan enamorada de una paleta, al punto de utilizarla en cada oportunidad que tengo. Los tonos rojizos resaltan mis ojos y, para un look effortless de diario, combino las sombras Sauced y Low Blow sobre todo mi párpado, que además de difuminarse sin esfuerzo, duran tanto que son a prueba de siestas (ya lo comprobé jaja).
It's been ages since I was so in love with a palette, to the point of wearing it at any possible occasion. The red tones make the color of my eyes pop and, for an effortless daily look, I mix the shades Sauced and Low Blow all over my lids which, besides being super blendable, they last so much that they're nap-proof (I already tested that, haha).
Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks

These lipsticks are always on rotation in my makeup bag because they have everything I ask for: lots of colors, the creamiest and most comfortable formula, and super long-lasting. Either in matte formulas or creamy.
