Although I'm quite late to the party, Glossier is a brand that I was dying to try since last year and finally managed to get a package shipped to Mexico. It was a little hard not to purchase the whole website at once but let me put this out now: there definitely will be a second haul very soon.
Aunque voy tarde a la fiesta, Glossier es una marca que me moría por probar desde el año pasado y por fin me las ingenié para enviar mi paquete a México. Fue un poco difícil no comprar todo el sitio web a la primera pero déjenme decir esto de una vez: habrá una segunda compra muy pronto.
In case you live under a rock and don't know what Glossier is all about (or maybe you're just not too much into the beauty world), it is a brand that is intensively focused on making the skin look as dewy and natural as possible. All of their makeup products work in a way that enhance your actual features, as well as their skincare items that are targeted to optimize your skin and make you super hydrated. Not to mention the cool glossy vibe pf the brand that makes us want to dip into a gloss pool.
En caso de que vivas debajo de una toca y no sepas de qué se trata Glossier (o simplemente no estás muy metido en el mundo de la belleza), es una marca que está intensamente enfocada en hacer que la piel luzca lo más luminosa y natural posible. Todos sus productos de maquillaje funcionan de manera que realzan tus facciones como son, así como los productos de cuidado de piel que están enfocados en optimizar tu piel y hacerla ver súper hidratada. Sin mencionar la onda glossy y cool de la marca que te hace querer saltar a una alberca de gloss.
WHAT I GOT & HOW I DID THIS LOOK
After debating with myself on which face cream I should get I ended up with the Priming Moisturizer Rich. As the name suggests, this primes the skin with ceramides and fatty acids that leave it very hydrated and ready for makeup or going to bed. I realized that the skin does look quite smooth after a light layer, if I'm wearing makeup after this I apply a bit more to the areas that I normally prime.
Después de debatir conmigo misma en cuál crema de rostro me debía comprar terminé con Priming Moisturizer Rich. Como el nombre lo sugiere, esto prepara la piel con ceramidas y ácidos grasos que la dejan muy hidratada y lista para maquillarte o irte a dormir. Me di cuenta que la piel sí se ve más suave después de una capa ligera, si me voy a maquillar después de usarla me pongo un poco más en las áreas donde normalmente aplico primer.
Next on my list was the Stretch Concealer which has a very unique texture, I'm trying to compare it with any other that I have tried but I can't find a dupe. It's very creamy and has a dewy finish, it seems to be buildable but not with a high coverage. It is best applied with fingers under the eyes or redness areas but I don't think it would work for pin-point concealing. To set it I got the Wowder Powder, a loose powder with reflecting particles that avoid a flat finish. The packaging design allows you to grab a small amount to avoid caking it up.
Después en mi lista estaba el Stretch Concealer que tiene una textura muy única, estoy tratando de compararlo con otro que ya haya probado pero no puedo encontrar un duplicado. Es muy cremoso y luminoso, parece que puedes aplicarlo en capas pero no te da cobertura máxima. Se aplica mejor con los dedos debajo de los ojos o en áreas de pigmentación pero no creo que funcione para hacer corrección detallada. Para fijarlo compré el Wowder Powder, un polvo suelto con partículas reflejantes que evitan un acabado plano. El diseño del empaque te deja tomar poco producto para que no lo empastes.
It wouldn't be Glossier without a Lip Gloss right? The thing about this product is that it is the simplest thing but somehow looks very different from any other gloss. It contains Vitamin E to keep the lips nourished and doesn't leave a sticky finish. It might be that I'm already in love with the brand but I'm sure this is shinier than anything else I've tried since 2002 (gloss is making a comeback, did you know?).
No sería Glossier sin un Lip Gloss, ¿verdad? La cosa con este producto es que es lo más simple pero de alguna manera se ve diferente a cualquier otro gloss. Contiene vitamina E para mantener los labios nutridos y no se siente pegajoso. Puede ser que ya esté enamorada de la marca pero estoy segura que esto es más brillante que cualquier otra cosa que he probado desde el 2002 (el gloss está de vuelta, ¿lo sabían?).
To complete my look I ventured into the cream blush world and ordered a Cloud Paint in Dusk. This was tricky for me, I was either going to love it or absolutely hate it, because cream products are harder to control. It has a very sheer but super glowy finish, the color was perfect for me as I looked as if I had been out in the sun. I applied a very small amount to my entire lid area just to have something there and I think it tied the look together. I really liked this product but I don't think I'm interested in the other colors available.
Para completar mi look me aventuré al mundo del rubor en crema y ordené un Cloud Paint en Dusk. Esto era una trampa para mí, me iba a encantar o lo iba a odiar, porque los productos en crema son difíciles de controlar. Tiene un acabado muy translúcido y luminoso, el color era perfecto para mí porque parecía que había estado afuera en el sol. Me apliqué muy poquito en toda el área del párpado solo para tener algo ahí y creo que eso ató el look completo. Realmente me gustó mucho pero no estoy interesada en los demás colores que tienen.
I already have a few more products in my wishlist for my next order. For this look I added a cream highlighter that I will talk to you about soon and a light brow gel. This leads me to think I might need to order Boy Brow and a Haloscope, right?
Ya tengo algunos productos en mi wishlist para mi próxima orden. Para este look agregué un iluminador en crema del que les hablaré pronto y un gel de cejas claro. Esto me lleva a pensar que tal vez necesite pedir un Boy Brow y un Haloscope, ¿verdad?
