For the first time on my blog I am sharing with you a few looks that I created on a friend. I tried to cover four styles that I love: the classic smokey, the colorful and bright, the ethereal, and the edgy/editorial. In the end, it was fun to play around with a canvas that was not my own.
Por primera vez en mi blog les comparto algunos looks que hice en una amiga. Traté de abarcar cuatro estilos que amo: el clásico ahumado, el colorido y brillante, el etéreo y el dramático/editorial. A fin de cuentas, lo divertido fue jugar con un lienzo que no fuera el mío.
THE ETHEREAL LOOK
I have always loved all those clean, glowy, fresh looks where all that pops is the skin's luminosity. For a fresh appearance I added a rosy hue to the cheeks using the draping technique. Also, a wash of color to the lids, a gradient lip to make them appear sweet, and a highlighter with a pink tone in it. Brows and lashes were kept very minimal and only defined with light brown products.
Siempre he amado todos esos looks limpios, frescos e iluminados donde lo único que bota es el brillo de la piel. Para una apariencia fresca agregué un tono rosa a las mejillas usando la técnica draping. También un poco de color en los párpados, unos labios degradados para que parecieran dulces y un iluminador con tono rosa en él. Las cejas y las pestañas se mantuvieron muy sencillas y sólo definidas con productos en café claro.

THE CLASSIC SMOKEY EYE
The Smokey Eye look is as classic as a red lip. My friend has beautiful green eyes and I wanted them to stand out as much a possible, so instead of going for a dark and gloomy smokey eye, I used coppery shades. I tied the whole look together with red cheeks and a mix of lipsticks. Since it's all quite dramatic, I felt the need to bring back light to her face. I used a luminous base and bronzer to give the skin a dewy finish and topped the high points with gold highlighter.
El look de Ojo Ahumado es tan clásico como los labios rojos. My amiga tiene unos ojazos verdes y quería que resaltaran lo más posible, entonces en vez de darle un maquillaje obscuro, usé tonos cobrizos. Até el look completo con mejillas rojas y una mezcla de labiales. Ya que todo luce un poco dramático, sentí la necesidad de devolverle luz a su rostro. Usé una base y bronceador luminosos para darle un acabado lustrado a la piel y terminé con iluminador dorado en los puntos altos.

COLORFUL AND BRIGHT
To create this look I worked over the previous makeup, just layering more products to create more dimension and added the bright elements. Even though the lips are quite a statement, I still wanted more drama on the eyes, which ended up as a glitter liner. This time I switched to a pink/purple hue on the eyeshadow, the lip topper, and the highlighter.
Para crear este look trabajé por encima del maquillaje anterior, sólo agregando más productos para crear más dimensión e incluí los elementos brillantes. A pesar de que los labios son lo más intenso, aún quería darle más drama a los ojos, lo que terminó con un delineador de diamantina. Esta vez cambié a tonalidades rosa/morado en la sombra, el lip topper y el iluminador.

THE EDGY/EDITORIAL LOOK
After working with so much highlight and colors, I decided that the last look was going to be the simplest. The skin was the total opposite to the others: a more matte finish, very sculpted cheekbones, and a neutral blush (which could have been skipped). I wanted all the drama on the eyes and brows, creating a deconstructed liner and brows with thick strokes as if they were the hairs. To create a slight contrast between both lines I used black and purple respectively.
Después de trabajar con tanto iluminador y colores, decidí que el último look sería el más simple. La piel era totalmente lo opuesto a los otros: una piel más matte, pómulos bien definidos y un rubor neutral (que pude haberme saltado). Quería todo el drama en los ojos y las cejas, creando un delineado deconstruido y cejas con rayas gruesas como si fueran los pelitos. Para crear un contraste ligero entre ambas lineas usé negro y morado respectivamente.
