A couple of days ago I attended a brunch at Sephora with Kerry Cole, Global Style Director for Becca Cosmetics, to show us the new bronzers. We all had some snacks and refreshing drinks, talked about makeup, learned some tips and tricks from her, and went home with the five new bronzers to try them out.
Hace unos días fui a un brunch en Sephora con Kerry Cole, Directora de Estilo Global para Becca Cosmetics, para enseñarnos los nuevos bronceadores. Todos comimos y tomamos algo fresco, hablamos de maquillaje, aprendimos tips y trucos de ella y nos fuimos a casa con los cinco nuevos bronceadores para probarlos.
By mistake I arrived an hour earlier and got extra time to talk a bit more with Kerry and Flower, PR for Becca; both of them very lovely girls. After a while the rest of the girls arrived and Kerry gave us some tips on applying the bronzers, not only on out face, but also on out body for a very luminous skin. This technique is like body strobing, I particularly loved how it looks on the legs. I tend to add highlighter on my collar bones so these bronzers will do the trick and add a bit of a tan tint.
After the brunch, more people arrived and we had a masterclass on a natural look, using all the bronzers on different areas, such as the eyes, legs, and chest. I noticed Kerry used the Ultimate Coverage Concealer so after the event was done I picked one for myself in the shade Tahini and got a mini Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal with it.
Por error llegué una hora antes y tuve tiempo extra para platicar un poco más con Kerry y Flower, Pr de becca; ambas muy lindas personas. Después de un rato las demás chicas llegaron y Kerry nos enseñó algunos trucos de cómo aplicarse los bronceadores, no sólo en el rostro, sino también en el cuerpo para una piel luminosa. Esta técnica es como strobing para el cuerpo, a mí en particular me gustó cómo se ve en las piernas. Suelo ponerme iluminador en mis clavículas, así que estos bronceadores harán el mismo efecto pero agregando un poco de color a la piel.
Después del brunch, más personas llegaron y tuvimos una masterclass de un look natural usando todos los bronceadores en diferentes áreas como los ojos, las piernas y el pecho. Me di cuenta que Kerry usó el Ultimate Coverage Concealer, así que cuando terminó el evento compré uno para mí en el tono Tahini y recibí un mini Shimmering Skin perfector en Opal con él.
Now to the fun part, the bronzers. These five new compacts come in a variety of shades that fit from the the lightest to darkest skin. The formula is incredibly smooth, they all feel like a normal face powder even though there's shimmer in them. Something that I liked was that the tones are not too orange, if you don't mind a bit of sparkle in your contour you can even use them for that. The creaminess of the product is due to the fact that it is compressed between layers of powder and water, making it super smooth and very blendable.
Ahora a lo divertido, los bronceadores. Estos cinco nuevos compactos vienen en una variedad de tonos que le quedan a las pieles más claras y obscuras. La fórmula es increíblemente suave, todos se sienten como un polvo para la cara aunque tengan algo de brillo. Algo que me gustó es que los tonos no son muy naranjas, y si no te importa un poco de brillo en tu contour hasta los puedes usar para eso. Lo cremoso del producto se debe al hecho de que está comprimido entre capas de polvo y agua, haciéndolos súper suaves y fáciles de difuminar.
BALI SANDS
The lightest shade of all, it has a slight pinky tone that would give a natural bronze of very fair skin tones.
El color más claro de todos, tiene un poco de tono rosita que le dará a las pieles muy pálidas un bronceado natural.
CAPRI COAST
This is my kind of every day bronzer. It's not very orange toned, which I like for days when I don't want to bother with blush and contour and just pick a shade that goes between those two.
Este es mi tipo de bronceador de diario. No es muy naranja, lo cual me gusta para días en que no quiero molestarme con rubor y contour y sólo elijo un tono que esté entre esos dos.
IPANEMA SUN
The pigmentation in this one seemed a bit stronger than the rest. Again, not very orange but instead a bit brown looking, it would go perfectly with already tanned skins.
La pigmentación en este pareció ser más fuerte que los demás. Igual, no muy naranja sino un poco de tono café, siento que va perfecto pero pieles que ya están bronceadas.
BRONZED BONDI
I think this is the neutral shade that goes with every skin tone. It's also a bit more pigmented so you can build it up if you need a more intense look.
Creo que este es el color neutral que va con todos los tonos de piel. También está un poco más pigmentado, así que puedes aplicar varias capas para mayor intensidad.
MAUI NIGHTS
Creado para pieles más obscuras, este bronceador le da mucha vida al rostro. Aunque sea un tono muy fuerte para mí, lo probé como rubor aplicando una capa muy ligera y me encantó cómo se veía.
Created for deeper skin tones, this bronzer brings a lot of light to the face. Although it's a bit too dark for me, I tried it as a blush by applying a very light layer and I loved how it looked.
