Always make sure that you prime your skin to make any product last longer. I avoid primers with SPF in case I know that I'll be going out later in the night. I love the combination of The PoreFessional Matte Rescue Gel by Benefit to absorb any oils and then add a layer of the original The PoreFessional Face Primer to smooth my skin. You can take a concealer with you but I prefer to add lighter coverage with something like the L'Oréal Nude Magique BB Powder with the sponge that it comes with.
The rest of the face is pretty simple. There's not much that you can do with the eyes, except to start your day with a cream eyeshadow like this Maybelline Color Tattoo in Eternal Gold to give the other powders something to cling to. Take a small palette in your bag and intensify your outer corners with the dark shades, I like to use Dior in Cuir Cannage. In the daytime, avoid any liners in the waterline that can crease and carry a black one to tight line for the night, Perversion by Urban Decay is a very dark black and it also glides on easily.
Lips have been a no-brainer for me lately, this is the season when I most want to wear red lips. I always line my lips first with Brick by MAC, it not only makes the color last longer but it will also help to re-shape the borders after a long day of drinking, eating, and gossiping. If you want the easy choice, just take a light gloss. I've been insanely obsessed with this Palladio Clear Gloss, it's not very sticky and I don't even need a mirror to swipe it on.
