One of my favorite things is to try new makeup products, specially ones that I wouldn't think I'd like. A few days ago I received a few things from ELF Cosmetics and I immediately used all of them. One of these really went above my expectations.

Si ELF es conocido por algo es definitivamente por sus productos de bajo costo y libres de crueldad animal, algo que no vemos muy seguido. The first thing that I tried was the Foundation Serum, I used a pump on my fingers and tried to run it through my face. It's very liquidy and lasts for quite a while but the coverage isn't too impressive so you might need concealer for certain areas. It feels like your natural skin with a little added glow and contains SPF 25. On the other side, it has only 14ml and comes in three tones, which isn't a bad thing considering the light coverage.
Lo primero que probé fue el Foundation Serum, lo bombeé una vez y eso lo apliqué con los dedos en mi rostro. Es muy líquido y dura por buen tiempo pero la cobertura no es tan impresionante, así que necesitarás corrector para ciertas áreas. Se siente como piel natural con un poco de luminosidad agregada y contiene SPF 25. Por el otro lado, sólo tiene 14ml y viene en tres tonos, lo cual no es algo tan malo considerando que la cobertura es muy ligera.
After applying it with the fingers I wanted to see if I could layer it by using the Blending Brush. It definitely looked a lot smoother but it didn't add more coverage. The curve of the brush let me get into every corner of my skin and swipe away the product with the corners. It's also very small so you can it take it on your makeup bag.
Después de aplicarla con los dedos quería ver si podía aplicarla en capas usando el Blending Brush. Definitivamente se veía más suave pero no agregó más cobertura. La curva en la brocha me deja meterme en cada orilla de la piel y arrastrar hacia afuera el producto con las orillas. También es muy pequeña así que puedes llevártela en tu bolsa de maquillaje.
To compliment that glow in the foundation, the Cream Blush in Rose Royalty has a smooth texture that glides onto the skin easily. I was a little scared to apply it with my fingers but the pigmentation is light and you can layer this one. I then used the Blending Brush and the ending result was even better, it left a dewy look even after being buffed with the brush several times and it lasts for a long time.
Para complementar esa luminosidad en la base, el Cream Blush en Rose Royalty tiene una textura suave que se resbala en la piel con facilidad. Estaba un poco dudosa de aplicarlo con los dedos pero la pigmentación es ligera y sí se puede intensificar con capas. Después usé el Blending Brush y el resultado fue aún mejor, me dejó una apariencia luminosa a pesar de haber frotado mucho la brocha y duró por mucho tiempo.
The Lash Tint Mascara was a bit of a disappointment to me. I like how dark it is and the thin wand that gets into the very roots of your lashes to give them a lot of volume. But it never dried. I tried to do the rest of my makeup afterwards and it kept smudging all over my eyes. It says it can be used on the brows but I think black is a little too bold for that.
La Lash Tint Mascara fue un poco decepcionante para mí. Me gusta lo obscura que es y que la brocha es muy delgada y puede meterse entre las raíces de las pestañas para darles más volumen. Pero nunca se secó. Traté de hacer el resto de mi maquillaje después y seguía manchándome los ojos. Dice que puede usarse en las cejas pero creo que el negro es muy intenso para eso.
The overall look is pretty simple and natural. These products are great for an every day makeup because they're just for enhacing your own features and give you a healthy glow. I've been wearing the Foundation Serum almost every day and I love how soft my skin looks.
