On my previous post I created a natural look using the Maybelline The Nudes palette. I'm definitely late on this one but I still wanted to give my own opinion about it and share with you a little review along with some swatches.
En mi publicación anterior hice un look natural usando la paleta Maybelline The Nudes. Definitivamente voy tarde con esta pero de todos modos quería dar mi propia opinión sobre ella y compartirles una pequeña reseña junto con algunas pruebas de color.
As you can see, this palette consists of 12 neutral shades, letting your create tons of looks that match every person and occasion. The Nudes is designed to be separated by duos, trios or quads, making it easy for us to come up with a look within minutes. At first I thought that it looked a lot like the Naked 2 Palette but it is quite different, it has a mix of warm and cool tones with a shimmery and matte finish. I've been wearing a lot since I got it and I really like the consistency and color payoff, although you do need to apply a primer or any sort of base before your eyeshadows.
Como pueden ver, la paleta consiste de 12 sombras neutrales, dejándote crear miles de looks que quedan con cualquier persona y ocasión. The Nudes está diseñada para usarme como dúos, tríos o cuartetos, haciéndonosla fácil para hacer un look en cuestión de minutos. Al principio pensé que se parecía mucho a la paleta Naked 2 pero es muy distinta, tiene una mezcla de tonos cálidos y fríos con un acabado brillante o matte. La he estado usando mucho desde que la compré y en verdad me gusta la consistencia y la pigmentación, aunque tienes que aplicar un primer o algún tipo de base antes de tus sombras
The first row has a shimmery white shade, perfect for highlighting but a little too white for my taste. The next shadow is a light gray taupe color with a subtle satin finish, the color payoff on this one is rather weak, but it makes a nice color for the lids. Then we have a light beige tone that can work as a transition shade or matte highlight, depending on your skin tone. The fourth shade reminded me a lot of Snakebite from the Naked 2 Palette, it's a very rusty goldy brown that would look great with red lips this Fall. Next to that we have two matte shades, a light grayish brown, perfect for the crease; and a dark grey, which can work on a full matte look to deepen the outer corners of the eyes.
La primera de la fila es un blanco brillante, perfecto para iluminar pero muy blanco para mi gusto. La siguiente sombra es un café grisáceo con un acabado satinado muy sutil, la pigmentación de ésta es muy ligera pero me gusta para aplicar en todo el párpado. Después tenemos un beige pálido que puede servir como iluminador matte o color de transición, dependiendo de tu tono de piel. La cuarta sombra me recordó mucho a Snakebite de la paleta Naked 2, es un café/dorado oxidado que se vería muy bien con unos labios rojos en este otoño. A lado de esa tenemos dos sombras matte, un gris claro de tono café, perfecto para la cuenca; y un gris obscuro, el cuál puede servir para dar profundidad a las orillas externas en un look totalmente matte.
The second row starts with a satin warm brown eyeshadow, followed by a matte dark chocolate brown to pair it up with for more drama and definition. Again, similar to the Naked 2 palette, we have a bright shimmery gold that looks more intense when applied with a wet brush. The next shade is a shimmery dark brown that transfers more as a satin finish, this is great to do a quick smokey eye without using any more eyeshadows. Next, there's a shimmery beige that I prefer to use as a highlight instead of the first one mentioned, or mix a bit of both for more intensity. Finally, the palette is completed with a classic matte black. I only wish it was as pigmented as Blackout from the Naked 2 palette but it comes out a bit chalky.
La segunda fila comienza con un color café satinado, seguida de un tono chocolate obscuro matte para acompañarla si quieres más drama y definición. De nuevo, similar a la paleta Naked 2, tenemos un dorado brilloso que se ve más intenso si lo aplicas con una brocha mojada. La siguiente sombra es un café obscuro brillante que se transfiere más como satinado, esto es bueno por si quieres hacerte un smokey eye rápido sin usar más sombras. Después hay un beige brilloso que prefiero usar para iluminar en vez de la primera sombra que mencioné, o mezclar un poco de las dos para más intensidad. Finalmente la paleta se completa con un clásico negro matte. Hubiera querido que estuviera tan pigmentado como Blackout de la paleta Naked 2 pero es un poco más deslavado.

Overall, I like this palette for the colors that it has and small packaging. It's sturdy and will definitely come with me when traveling. It comes with the typical sponge applicator but I prefer to use my own brushes for a more precise application and color manipulation, because not all of the eyeshadows are very pigmented.
En general, me gusta esta paleta por los tonos que trae y el empaque pequeño. Es duro y definitivamente se vendrá conmigo cuando viaje. Viene con una esponjita para aplicar sombras pero prefiero usar mis propias brochas para una aplicación más precisa y manipulación de los colores, ya que no todas las sombras están muy pigmentadas.
