One of the most important things on a makeup look is the eyeliner, wether if it's small, thick, or flicked, everyone has their own style. However, I've seen many people having a hard time doing the winged eyeliner, let's face it: it's not easy when you first start. I made this little pictorial with 4 easy steps for people who find it hard to achieve a little flick, all it takes is some practice.
Una de las cosas más importantes en un look es el delineador, ya sea pequeño, grueso, o con ala, todos tenemos nuestro propio estilo. Sin embargo, he visto muchas personas batallando para hacer el delineado con ala, y siendo honestos no es fácil a la primera. Hice este pictorial con 4 sencillos pasos para quienes encuentren difícil el obtener una ala, todo lo necesario es práctica.
STEPS:
1. Start with the eyes ready to line. If you're going to apply eyeshadows, make sure you do it first so that the liner doesn't get fallouts from other colors. Today I'm going for bare eyelids.
2. Line your eyes from the inner corner to the other edge, staying close to the lashes.
3. Draw a line from the end of your liner to the top, do it in direction to the end of your eyebrows, following the curve from your lower lash line. This will create the flick.
4. Starting from the end of the new line we created, drag the liner softly inward. You can do a straight line, when you open your eyes it will create a little curve that follows along your crease line, leaving the same space between the crease and the whole liner.
5. Lastly, fill in the gap from the flick lines and you're done!
PASOS:
1. Comienza con los ojos listos para delinear. Si vas a utilizar sombras, asegúrate de aplicarlas primero para que el delineador no se llene de lo que caiga de otros colores. Hoy yo opté por no usar sombras.
2. Delinea tus ojos desde la orilla interna hacia la otra orilla, manteniéndote cerca de las pestañas.
3. Dibuja una línea desde el final de tu delineador hacia arriba, hazlo en dirección al final de tus cejas, siguiendo la curva que crea la línea de pestañas de abajo. Esto creará la ala.
4. Empezando desde el final de la nueva línea que creamos, arrastra tu delineador hacia adentro suavemente. Puedes hacer una raya firme, cuando abras tus ojos se creará una curva que sigue el movimiento de la línea de la cuenca, dejando el mismo espacio entre tu delineador y la cuenca de los ojos.
5. Finalmente, rellena el espacio que quedó entre las dos líneas de la ala ¡y ya está listo!
TIPS:
- If you want a very crisp line, you can apply a little bit of concealer on the edges of the flick. This way you can correct any mistakes, just use the brush in ONE direction, don't swipe it back and forth.
- To make it last longer, apply a little bit of black eyeshadow on top of the liner, you can use an angled brush for a better application.
- If you're new to winged liners, start with small flicks. The more often you do them, the longer you will make them without realizing it.
- PRACTICE. You won't get it right the first time (if you did, I'm your fan), do this everyday and find a product and brush that works best for you. I used a Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush and MAC Blitz and Glitz Fluidline.
TIPS:
- Si quieres una línea muy bien definida, puedes aplicar un poco de correcto por las orillas de la ala. De esta manera puedes corregir algunos errores, sólo usa la brocha en UNA dirección, no lo arrastres de lado a lado.
- Para que dure más tiempo, aplica un poco de sombra negra por encima de tu delineado, puedes usar una brocha con ángulo para una mejor aplicación.
- Si eres nueva con este delineado, empieza con alas pequeñas. Entre más las hagas, más largas te van a salir sin que te des cuenta.
- PRACTICA. Nunca te van a salir a la primera (si es así, soy tu fan), haz esto todos los días y usa un producto y una brocha con la que trabajes mejor. Yo usé el Fine Liner Brush de Real Techniques y Blitz and Glitz Fluidline de MAC.
